TV, MOVIES, AND ALL THING NERD
Alright, so let me get this straight, you came here for my opinions on TV, movies, and video games. That's probably the best idea you had since you decided to wake up this morning. I'm not going to waste your time with Jersey Shore, or anything that has words in their title like "The Real," "Keeping Up With," or "Zilla." Unless the Zilla in reference is the 1997 Roland Emmerich Godzilla remake with Ferris Broderick in it. Which, in comparison to his Apocolyporn later titles, is somewhat watchable. You'll get my opinions on new shows that actually have engaging story lines, good production value, and anything that might be entertaining in the least bit. If they don't have any of those three, its because I just find them interesting.
Don't think that I'm just some basement dwelling, Star Wars worshipping, comic book collecting, scruffy looking Nerf-Herder, I'm just a guy that happens to enjoy being entertained. That entertainment crosses over into a fervent fandom of college football and a Cornhusker obsession. So call me a Nub, tell me that the "N" stands for nowledge, or that you've beaten us over the last ten years, do what ever makes you feel better about the beatings that you took over the previous 40 years. It still doesn't change records and tradition. Nobody can stay on top forever but when you fall, and climb back to the top, its that much sweeter for you, and even more bitter for your enemies. But enough about my blatant homerism, on to what I'm going to talk about.
As far as movies go, It's going to be a mixed bag. I try to see things across all spectrums but that's not going to infer that I am immune to something like Hot Tub Time Machine, Harold and Kumar Get Into Another Completely Unbelievable Stoner Adventure, or Predictable Inspirational Sports Movie. (Disney sports movie notwithstanding).
The Video Games Might be few and far between. Due to the fact that I'm getting to be old balls, my game playing has been reduced on a large scale. What I've been into lately, as any 20 something year old male has been, is Skyrim and MW3, AKA Modern Warfare 2 with new weapons packs and new map packs. I still don't care, its a good time. With that being said, if by some chance that game developers or production companies somehow find this little sick corner of the Intertubes that were going to create, send some swag my way. I'll give it a whirl and tell you what I think. (like you give a shit anyways).
I'm going to try to review the shows that I watch on a regular basis and give you my thoughts and insights. I'm going to preface this with the fact that I don't read every bit of original literature or source material, or especially fan fiction. if something is getting a lot of buzz, I might, but for the most part, I'll be typical lazy American and just wait for Hollywood to feed it to me, and consume away.
Enough with the introductions. You don't want to hear about me, you just want me to tell you what to watch, what to go see, or what to play when you wanna squash some nut and waste time yelling obscenities at 14 year olds hopped up on Ritalin and Mountain Dew via headset. So, I'll be glad to help you.
