OH MY LAWD HAVE MERCY THIS GIRL WENT HAM
Okay, like I've said before... I'm an Idol addict. Last night we had our top 13 perform, and I was able to take a break from basketball long enough to watch everyone perform. I'm going to grade their performances today, and tomorrow we'll discuss the results show! Last night the guys did Stevie Wonder... the ladies did Whitney Houston. Let's see if they killed it or missed blindly. (Oh hey, Robby's still an asshole! Cool!)
Joshua Ladet - "I Wish"
GRADE: A-
-Look, he did real good... just wasn't quite perfect for me. Randy said it was one of the best of the night, I didn't quite see it that way.
Elise Testone - "I'm Your Baby Tonight"
GRADE: C+
-I like Elise... she's got that Hailey Reinhart like sound. However, this song wasn't her. Steven told her to be worried to death.
Jermaine Jones - "Knocks Me Off My Feet"
GRADE: A
-BOUT TIME. Dude, Jermaine came out swinging last night. All around AWESOME, and if you couldn't see that, then...
Erika Van Pelt aka EVP - "I Believe In You & Me"
GRADE: A-
-For some reason I really, really like me some EVP. Just got that voice! Knocked it dead tonight.
Colton Dixon - "Lately"
GRADE: A
-Colton definitely seen something in this song because he absolutely rocked it. A little softer than usual for him, but still excellent out of the Tennessean.
Shannon Magrane - "I Have Nothing"
GRADE: C-
-Well, I feel like she's going to be the first one to leave us prematurely. Just wasn't... anything... good? Well, Steven & Jennifer both put her on BLAST.
DeAndre Brackensick - "Master Blaster (Jammin')"
GRADE: B-
-I'm not seeing what the judges see here. I don't like DeAndre, like, at all.
Skylar Lane - "Where Do Broken Hearts Go"
GRADE: A+
-Dude... Skylar killed it. That's all.
Heejun Han - "All In Love Is Fair"
GRADE: B+
-Not quite feeling this one, but I hope America isn't blind to the mad talent this kid has!
Hollie Cavanaugh - "All The Man That I Need"
GRADE: B+
-I like Hollie a lot. I guess I just got caught in a lull here by being bored to death of Whitney Houston ballads.
Jeremy Rosado - "Ribbon In The Sky"
GRADE: B
-The guy didn't get here by blind luck. He's good. Again, I think I'm just caught in a lull..... zzzzzzzzz....
Jessica Sanchez - "I Will Always Love You"
GRADE: A++++++
-Holy hell did I die and get to heaven where Whitney's singing this song en vivo?????? POR QUE?!
Phillip Phillips, Jr. - "Superstition"
GRADE: A+
-Loved it. Phil Phillips... I see what you did there.
